Joy-Con 2 or Switch 2 Pro Will Not Pair with Original Switch

Nintendo does not support Joy-Con 2 or the Switch 2 Pro Controller on the original Switch.

Why this happens

The newer controller generation is designed for Switch 2 and is not backward compatible with the original system.
