iPad Controller Compatibility

An iPad needs a controller-supported game or app and a compatible iPadOS version. Apple supports pairing qualifying Bluetooth game controllers; some also use USB data where documented.

How to check a controller here

  1. Check the controller maker’s iPadOS minimum version.
  2. Pair through iPad Bluetooth settings or use the supported data-capable USB route.
  3. Test the intended game, Remote Play app, or cloud client separately.
